300 PRC - 212 Grain ELD-X - Hornady Precision Hunter - 20 Rounds

This 300 PRC cartridge from Hornady’s Precision Hunter line of ammunition boasts great accuracy not only because of its caliber, but also due to its 212 grain ELD-X projectile. The Extremely Low Drag eXpanding bullet owes its superior ballistic coefficient to its Heat Shield tip which is invulnerable to aerodynamic heating so it may always maintain its meplat, its streamlined secant ogive profile, its nearly perfectly concentric AMP jacket, and the tapered base provided by its boat tail design. Great precision without matching terminal performance might be enough to inconvenience game, but not necessarily take it down -- that’s why the ELD-X delivers both. When the ELD-X strikes a target at higher velocities its jacket shank and InterLock ring work together to deliver catastrophic expansion while retaining up to 60 percent of its original mass. At lower velocities the tip of the ELD-X jams down into its core to create a large mushroom while retaining as much as 90 percent of its original mass. With such versatility, this round is an exciting way to apply Hornady’s newest caliber toward your deer hunting endeavors.
