About Springfield Armory Saint

The next generation of personal-defense rifles, Springfield Armory's Saint Semiautomatic Tactical Rifle achieves a higher level of uncompromising reliability, accuracy and overall performance. The 16" chromoly-vanadium Melonite-finished barrel, chambered in .223 Rem./5.56 NATO with 1:8 rate-of-twist rifling, increases your mark-hitting accuracy. Built with a direct-impingement midlength gas system for smooth shooting, less recoil and shot-after-shot reliability. Proprietary, enhanced micropolished, nickel-boron-coated, GI-style trigger group provides a smoother and more consistent trigger pull. The type-III, hard-anodized, corrosion-resistant, 7075-T6 aluminum upper and lower receiver maximize strength while remaining lightweight. The M4 feed ramps on the upper and barrel extension ensure even more reliability, especially with M855 ammunition. Bravo Company black polymer pistol grip, buttstock and handguard add optimal control and support, and the BCM handguard has a heat metal shield to protect against barrel heat. Equipped with Springfield Armory's low-profile, flip-up, dual-aperture rear sight for electronic-free target acquisition. Available with a 30-round or 10-round Magpul PMAG® magazine.

Detailed Review

The Springfield Armory Saint is a versatile and reliable firearm that has gained popularity among gun enthusiasts and professionals alike. It is designed to deliver high performance in various shooting scenarios, making it a suitable option for personal defense, hunting, and tactical operations.

The Saint is a semi-automatic rifle that features a 16-inch barrel made of chrome moly vanadium steel with a 1:8 twist rate. This allows the rifle to stabilize a wide range of bullet weights, making it possible to shoot accurately at different distances. The barrel is also Melonite-treated for enhanced durability and corrosion resistance.

The rifle has a direct impingement gas system that ensures reliable cycling and minimal recoil. The gas block is low-profile, which allows for easy customization and installation of different accessories. The Saint comes with a mid-length gas system that reduces the amount of gas that enters the chamber, thereby reducing fouling and wear.

The Saint's upper and lower receivers are made of aircraft-grade aluminum, which provides excellent strength and rigidity without adding unnecessary weight. The upper receiver has a full-length Picatinny rail that enables easy installation of optics, sights, and other accessories. The rifle features a free-float handguard that is M-Lok compatible, providing ample space for mounting lights, lasers, and other equipment.

The rifle has an enhanced trigger that provides crisp and clean shots. The trigger has a nickel boron coating that enhances its durability and corrosion resistance. The Saint also has a Bravo Company Mod 3 pistol grip and a six-position adjustable stock that can be customized to fit different body sizes and shooting positions.

The Springfield Armory Saint comes in different configurations, including the Saint Victor, Saint Edge, and Saint Pistol. The Saint Victor features a longer barrel and a more robust handguard, making it suitable for long-range shooting and tactical operations. The Saint Edge has a lightweight design and enhanced features such as a billet lower receiver and ambidextrous controls. The Saint Pistol is a compact version of the rifle that is suitable for close-quarters shooting and personal defense.

In conclusion, the Springfield Armory Saint is a well-designed rifle that offers exceptional performance and versatility. Its reliable gas system, durable construction, and customizable features make it a suitable option for different shooting scenarios. Whether you're a professional shooter or a beginner, the Saint is a firearm that you can trust.

Awesome AR. Shot true right out of the box. I put over 100 rounds of cheap ammo through it and hit dead on at 100 yards. The iron sights needed very minimal adjustments. Would highly recommend, especially at Bud's price!

Very happy with buds gun shop everything went very well. And the saint is really more than what I expected. No upgrades are needed except for upgraded sights but very satisfied with the sights it came with. Ready to use right out of the box.
