Detailed Review
The SIG Sauer P239 is a compact, semi-automatic pistol that was designed for concealed carry and personal defense. It was first introduced in 1996 and quickly gained popularity among law enforcement officers, civilian gun enthusiasts, and military personnel.
The P239 is chambered in .357 SIG, .40 S&W, and 9mm, giving shooters a variety of options to choose from based on their personal preferences and needs. It has a single-stack magazine that can hold up to eight rounds of .357 SIG or .40 S&W, while the 9mm version can hold up to ten rounds. The P239 also features a steel slide and barrel, which provides durability and reliability.
One of the most notable features of the P239 is its compact size. It has a length of 6.6 inches, a height of 5.1 inches, and a width of just 1.2 inches. This makes it easy to conceal and comfortable to carry, even for extended periods of time. Additionally, the P239 weighs in at just 25 ounces, which further adds to its ease of carry.
The P239 also features a double-action/single-action (DA/SA) trigger system, which allows for quick and accurate follow-up shots. The first shot is fired in double action mode, which requires a longer and heavier trigger pull. After the first shot, the trigger resets into single-action mode, which has a lighter and shorter trigger pull. This system provides shooters with the best of both worlds – the initial safety of a longer trigger pull, followed by the speed and accuracy of a shorter trigger pull.
Other features of the P239 include a three-dot night sight system, which provides excellent visibility in low light conditions, and an ergonomic grip that is both comfortable and secure. It also has an ambidextrous magazine release, which allows for easy reloading from either side of the pistol.
The SIG Sauer P239 is a reliable and accurate firearm that is ideal for concealed carry and personal defense. Its compact size, variety of caliber options, and DA/SA trigger system make it a great choice for anyone who is looking for a high-quality pistol for everyday carry.

My wife was wanting something with a little more knock-down power than her Smith 2" .38. A patient brought this in for a "show and tell" and she fell in love with the single stack. Buds was the only place I found that had a new one in stock. She is well p

January 16, 2018I absolutely love this gun!!! Buds was awesome as always in making sure my gun arrived in a timely fashion and I could be happier!! The gun itself is the perfect size for carrying and has enough weight to so that way it absorbs the added recoil of the 40s

August 17, 2014Fires everything I put into it. accurate enough, comfortable to hold. I like the business like finish, no attempt to be pretty. It is really not as small as many carry guns but it a stable secure platform. Never a failure to fire or eject in the 15 years

December 19, 2013More accurate than I am, eats every kind of ammo, feels and looks like a real gun, not plastic junk! Safe and reliable.

February 26, 2013I purchared the P239 because I carry a P229 on duty and thought I would make a good off-duty weapon. I have medium sized hand and it is hard to get a good grip on the weapon for me. It had a long break in period, 400 to 500 rds before it became reliable,

February 4, 2012It is a little thicker than most single stack 40 cal pistols but it fits perfectly in my (medium ) size hands. It is not that light but still OK for CCW. It will feed anything you put in it with no problems for me after a few thousand rounds.
