Great gun.

I bought this gun without the scope. I put a $200 scope on it and can hit 425 yards sub moa. I would shoot farther if I had a bigger range to shoot at. This is a solid gun hands down.

It's ok, but not my thing

I bought this gun about 3 or 4 years ago and it's ok for the money. I got the 270 and it kicks pretty hard, and the trigger is not the best. I also am not a fan of how the safety works. I could not get the trigger to pull do to they way it cycled and miss

Junk for a new rifle 30-06 AXIS

I very irritated right now. I bought this Savage Axis 30-06 brand new. First off it's supposed to have a Weaver scope on it yet it came with a Bushnell and I didn't see this until I purchased it. Another person said the same thing. Second, the magazine ha

Creedmoor 6.5

I bought this with the wood stock/Accu-trigger on sale primarily as a hunting predator rifle. Put a new 20 MOA rail on top and a Cabela's caliber specific scope (300 Win Mag as the ballistics are similar). Shooting 1/2" groups at 100 yards using Remi

Scope

Ad indicates that a Weaver 3-9x40 will be mounted. The rifle I purchased had a Bushnell 3-9x. I didn't complain because the Cabela's where I bought the gun is 60-miles AWAY (round trip) and I knew they would ask me to bring the package back.I didn't need

Beware of the scope bases.

The scope bases that come with this combo do not match the scope rings. If you look closely where the rings clamp on the bases you will see where the bases are not machined to a sharp enough vee to seat in the vee of the rings and the rings are barely sea

Garbage

Bought the .30-06, magazine is cheap plastic, it misfires, and the polymer stock is inadequate. Save your money and buy a Ruger. And good luck getting a hold of someone in customer service, they will not get back to you.

Love this rifle

Great rifle, got it in 6.5 creedmoor and it packs a punch. For 200$ for the rifle and the scope combo it's a no brainer(100$ rebate) sighted in with 5 shots and was shooting more accurate then my buddies 600$+ rifle that day!
