Detailed Review

The Savage Arms 10 P-SR is a highly accurate and reliable bolt-action rifle designed specifically for long-range shooting. It features a heavy, fluted barrel that is free-floated for maximum accuracy and a rugged synthetic stock that is both durable and comfortable to shoot.

One of the key features of the 10 P-SR is its adjustable AccuTrigger, which allows you to easily adjust the trigger pull weight to your personal preference. This is important for long-range shooting, as even the slightest movement can throw off your shot. With the AccuTrigger, you can ensure a clean and consistent trigger pull every time.

The 10 P-SR also has a detachable box magazine, which makes it easy to load and unload your rifle. This is especially helpful when you're out in the field and need to quickly reload. The magazine holds up to four rounds, depending on the caliber you choose.

Speaking of calibers, the 10 P-SR is available in several popular long-range cartridges, including .308 Winchester, 6.5 Creedmoor, and .260 Remington. Each cartridge offers its own unique advantages and characteristics, so you can choose the one that best suits your needs and preferences.

In terms of accuracy, the 10 P-SR is capable of sub-MOA (minute of angle) groups at 100 yards with the right ammunition and shooter. This kind of accuracy is essential for long-range shooting, as even the smallest discrepancies can greatly impact your shot placement.

Overall, the Savage Arms 10 P-SR is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a reliable and accurate long-range rifle. Its heavy barrel, adjustable AccuTrigger, and detachable box magazine make it a versatile and practical option for a variety of shooting applications. Whether you're a competitive shooter or just enjoy long-range target shooting, the 10 P-SR is sure to impress.

An excellent rifle

I was originally looking for a tika t3 but it was gone, after talking to a sales clerk he handed me this savage, I gotta say I was impressed and at half the price, at the range I was getting 1/2 to 3/4inch groupies at 200 meters, very respectable with my

First box of shells

I bought this gun about two weeks ago and said I would attached results of my first trip to the range. Shot federal premium 168 match, sub MOA. Shot hornady 150 whitetail, not quite as good but still sub-moa. Looks like it’s a keeper.

Awesome Rifle!

I was in the market for a precision rifle in 7.62/ 308 and the two that met my criteria were the Rem 700 SPS and this Savage. Value-wise the Savage blows the Remington away with its threaded barrel, installed 1913 rail, over-sized bolt handle, 5R rifling,

Flawless performance

This rifle is a tack driver. It literally shoots better than me. I haven't put it in a lead sled yet, but off of a bipod, I get slightly less than 1" grouping. I'm sure that a better shooter could get Mickey Mouse with it.

After purchasing the 10PT-SR I contacted Savage to verify information about the barrel since it is not listed on Academy's website or in the owners manual. I was told it is a varmint barrel with conventional 1/10 twist rifling and 5/8 by 24 threads.

Rifle functioned fine but accuracy was inconsistent. Groups were slightly less than 1 " at 100 yards but I was frustrated by fliers. I put a Boyd's stock on it and had it bedded by a gunsmith. Very little improvement in accuracy. Barrel copper fouled quic

Nice accurate rifle

Put a Primary Arms 4-14x44 scope with ACSS reticle. Shoots sub 1 Moa or better. I'm not good at keeping steady so groups could definitely be better given a better shooter than me. It's the shooter not the gun! The bolt handle is great being over

Awesome gun!

I bought this a few days back, gun is flawless. In the description it says the gun weighs 10 pounds, it certainly does not. I would say it weighs about 5-7. Other than the wrong weight this rifle is great, very short and compact.

hole in hole every shot

Bought the rifle new. Put a leupold fx3 6x42 competition hunter on it. Mine prefers a 168 grain or heavier on the 5r rifling. Hole on hole shots every time. Have shot it out to 300 yards perfectly.

Hands down one of the best rifles I own

Here's another incredible review. This rifle is absolutely tied for best rifle I own compared to my long rang Remington 700 Sendero SFII in 7mm mag. I say this with a huge caveat - You could almost buy three of these savages for the price of the SFII
