Great Ruger quality and it looks and feels amazing. I bought this gun a year ago and have had absolutely no issues. I get that feeling you get when you see a muscle car every time I pick it up.

This is my first RUGER pistol I have bought. This is an outstanding firearm. The fit and finish is top notch. This pistol has the best trigger I have ever felt in a 1911 style pistol. RUGER claims a 4.3 pound trigger pull. I will say that is dead on. Smoo

March 25, 2018Excellent fit and workmanship
I purchased a model 6700 (full size 45) when they were first introduced because it was one of the few 1911 style pistols out there that was traditional. No recoil spring guide and no front slide serrations. These are personal preferences. The pistol was t

December 10, 2017Mediocre quality
I was expecting better. Maybe I should not have. My other 1911 is the SA Mil Spec. Both are priced much better than the high end models. The trigger is not smooth, it clicks twice before the hammer fall. And after 100 rounds, the firing pin spring is worn

November 16, 2017Lightweight Lemon?
Bought the LW Commander (6711) on 11/17/17. Folks at the gun counter were nice enough to let me examine several that were in the box. Judging by the test fired casings, all were manufactured early to mid 2015. I researched this model extensively and have

I bought the SR1911 10mm when they first came out back in June of this year. I will have to say that this is one of my favorite handguns that I own (and I own a few). I added a tritium front night sight and the dark wood grips with Ruger logo medallion al

Bought this pistol and instantly wondered why I had waited so long. Great feel, extremely accurate, recoil is smooth but firm, not snappy or violent. I've put 200 rounds through it so far and it just feels better every shot. Very nice pistol for a great p

August 18, 2017Great 1911
This was my first 1911. What a great gun ! You just can't miss with this and Ruger did a fine job. I loved the 1911 platform so much I went out and spent twice as much for a Kimber. The Ruger is a better gun, flat out. I have not had one issue with mine a

July 13, 2017Excellent shooter
I have put ~250 rounds of 230 grain FMJ ammo through the Ruger. It has performed flawlessly even though it is still in what would be considered the break in period for a 1911 pattern pistol. I has shown good accuracy in my just returned to shooting hands.

July 3, 2017Great Firearm
I purchased the SR1911 Commander, CT Laser Grips in Stainless Steel, which I think is a Cabela's exclusive. Like most 1911's, it is easy to use. I tried several different types of ammo off the shelf, and had no FTF or FTE.

February 18, 2017A superb choice!
I carried a 1911 for a living in the Army, and wanted one for old times sake. The SR1911 has all of the modern updates while still looking and feeling like the service piece I remember. The fit and finish are top notch for the price level (well, any price
