About Ruger PC Carbine

The Ruger PC Carbine is a take-down rifle chambered in 9mm. It comes standard with innovative features such as a custom "dead blow" tungsten weight which shortens bolt travel and simultaneously reduces both felt recoil and muzzle rise. It also has interchangeable magazine wells, one which accepts Ruger SR-Series and the new Ruger Security 9 mags, and another which accepts Glock mags. The bolt is machined from heat treated, chrome-moly steel to ensure strength, structural integrity and durability. Takedown is as simple as locking the bolt back, verifying that the rifle is unloaded, pushing a recessed lever, twisting the sub-assemblies and pulling them apart. Detailed Review

The Ruger PC Carbine is a semi-automatic rifle designed for use as a home-defense weapon. The gun was developed by Ruger in response to requests from law enforcement agencies for a rifle that could be customized to meet their needs. It is chambered in 9mm and uses Glock magazines, making it an excellent choice for those who already own a Glock pistol.

One of the most unique features of the PC Carbine is its ability to be field-stripped without the need for any tools. This makes cleaning and maintenance a breeze, even for those who are not familiar with firearms. Additionally, the rifle has an adjustable length of pull, so it can be customized to fit almost any shooter.

The PC Carbine comes with a number of other features that make it an excellent choice for home defense. These include a reversible magazine release, an ergonomic pistol grip, and a Ghost Ring rear sight. Additionally, the gun has a Picatinny rail on the receiver, which allows the user to mount a variety of accessories such as lights and optics.

The PC Carbine also has a very low recoil, making it easy to shoot accurately and comfortably. This is particularly important for those who may be using the rifle for self-defense purposes, as they need to be confident in their ability to hit their target. The gun also has a very smooth trigger pull, which further enhances accuracy.

Overall, the Ruger PC Carbine is an excellent choice for those looking for a reliable and customizable home-defense rifle. Its ease of use and customization options make it particularly appealing to those who are new to firearms or who want a gun that can be easily adapted to their needs.

What a great gun. So much fun to shoot, I own the Security 9 and also had a bunch of SR9 mags so I was able to just keep feeding it. Was hitting soda cans at 50 yards, tight groups on paper too. No recoil. Shot 150 rounds as fast as I could and got the ba

This is a very, very cool firearm, especially for the price. I initially put a scope on it, but I was having poor groups. I took the scope off and used the rifles sights, and man, was it accurate. The really neat thing is that with the low price of 9mm

Ruger has done it again in a wonderfully presented pistol caliber carbine in 9mm. The weapon’s ability to change out the magazine adapter to Glock magazines make this a wonderful addition to my family! Super easy to breakdown, clean, and shooting this i

I received it, and I liked it a lot, I cleaned it, and even though I have not been to the shooting range to shoot with it, the revision I did was thorough and it seemed an adequate weapon for the times in which we live. As always, Buds fully complies with

Nice rifle. My 10/22 on steroids. Bought a few more clips and even the mag well for the regular mags. Haven't had a chance to shoot it but I love shooting the 10/22 and how it shoots. I'm sure this won't disappoint.

Will it handle 9mm +P or max loads?

Unknown 5 years ago

This is correct Larry. The Ruger will handle +P loaded ammunition.

Asked by geoz48 6 years ago

What is the maximum effective range?

Unknown 5 years ago

It will kill smaller deer out to 50 yards with Federal 147 grain Hydrashoks and very careful shot placement but it is surely no big game rifle. Sighted at 50 yards it should be 4 to 6 inches low at 100 and okay on varmints or small game.

Gary, Ruger says that the PC Carbine uses "proven 10/22® trigger components", but I don't believe that is quite the same thing as saying that the trigger group is the same as the 10/22. It certainly has similarities and uses some of the same parts, but it
