Detailed Review
The Ruger LCRx 5460 is a lightweight and compact revolver chambered in .38 Special. The LCRx stands for "Lightweight Compact Revolver with a Hammer." The design of the LCRx offers shooters the benefits of both a double-action and single-action revolver.
The LCRx 5460 has a stainless steel frame and cylinder, which helps with durability and recoil management. It also has a matte black finish, giving it a sleek and modern look. The black Hogue Tamer Monogrip provides a comfortable and secure hold while shooting.
The LCRx 5460 has a 1.87-inch barrel and an overall length of 6.5 inches. It weighs only 13.5 ounces, which makes it easy to carry and conceal. The revolver also has a five-round capacity, which is standard for most snub-nosed revolvers.
One of the standout features of the LCRx 5460 is its trigger system. It has a patented friction-reducing cam that provides a smooth and consistent trigger pull. The double-action trigger pull is around 10 pounds, while the single-action trigger pull is around 4 pounds. This allows for better accuracy and control when shooting.
The LCRx 5460 also has a pinned ramp front sight and a U-notch rear sight. The sights are easy to align and provide a clear sight picture. The revolver also has an exposed hammer, allowing for single-action shooting if desired.
In terms of safety, the LCRx 5460 has a transfer bar mechanism that prevents the hammer from striking the firing pin unless the trigger is fully depressed. This helps prevent accidental discharges.
Overall, the Ruger LCRx 5460 is a reliable and versatile revolver that is suitable for self-defense and concealed carry. Its small size and light weight make it easy to carry, while its trigger system and sights provide accurate and controlled shooting.
