Detailed Review

The Remington 700 VTR is a bolt-action rifle that was introduced in 2008. It is designed for varmint hunting and long-range shooting, and it has a unique triangular barrel that reduces weight and increases stiffness.

The VTR stands for Varmint Tactical Rifle, and it is available in several different calibers, including .223 Remington, .22-250 Remington, .308 Winchester, and .243 Winchester.

The barrel of the Remington 700 VTR is 22 inches long and has a 1:12 twist rate. The triangular shape of the barrel reduces weight without sacrificing stiffness, and it also helps dissipate heat more efficiently during extended shooting sessions.

The stock of the Remington 700 VTR is made from high-strength synthetic material and has a black finish. It features a vented beavertail forend for increased cooling and stability, and it is designed to accommodate a wide range of shooters with its adjustable length of pull.

The Remington 700 VTR also comes equipped with a number of other features that make it an excellent choice for varmint hunting and long-range shooting. These include a fully-adjustable X-Mark Pro trigger, a hinged floorplate magazine, and a 20 MOA Picatinny rail for mounting optics.

Overall, the Remington 700 VTR is a well-designed and versatile rifle that is capable of delivering excellent accuracy and performance in a variety of conditions. Whether you are a seasoned varmint hunter or just getting started in long-range shooting, the Remington 700 VTR is definitely worth considering.

I received my 700VTR SS in a factory sealed box at my selected FFL dealer. This model DOES include the bipod and picatinny scope rail as shown in the picture. The stainless model and the flat dark earth model have the rail, bipod, and tactical bolt handle
