Detailed Review

The Howa Puma 1873 is a classic single-action revolver designed after the iconic Colt Single Action Army, also known as the "Peacemaker." It is a popular choice among cowboy action shooters and western enthusiasts due to its timeless look and reliable function.

The Puma 1873 is manufactured by Howa Machinery Ltd., a Japanese company that has been producing high-quality rifles and handguns since the 1940s. The Puma 1873 is made using modern CNC machining technology to ensure precision and consistency in every part.

The Puma 1873 is available in several different calibers, including .357 Magnum, .44 Magnum, and .45 Long Colt. It features a 4.75-inch barrel, which is the standard length for this type of revolver. The overall length of the gun is 10 inches, and it weighs around 2.5 pounds unloaded.

The Puma 1873 has a traditional look with a blued finish, walnut grips, and a case-hardened frame. It features a fixed front sight and a rear sight that is adjustable for windage and elevation. The revolver has a six-round capacity and uses a loading gate on the right side of the frame to load and eject cartridges.

One of the standout features of the Puma 1873 is its smooth action. The single-action design means that the hammer must be manually cocked for each shot, which provides a crisp trigger pull and excellent accuracy. The Puma 1873 also has a half-cock position that allows the cylinder to be rotated for loading and unloading without fully cocking the hammer.

The Puma 1873 is a reliable and durable revolver that is perfect for anyone who enjoys shooting sports or simply appreciates the classic western style. It is a great choice for target shooting, hunting, or even home defense. With its high-quality construction and time-tested design, the Puma 1873 is sure to be a treasured addition to any gun collection.

If you are interested in purchasing a Howa Puma 1873, be sure to check with your local firearms dealer to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws. Always practice safe firearms handling and storage, and enjoy the timeless beauty and function of this classic revolver.
