Detailed Review

The Henry Long Ranger is a lever-action rifle designed for long-range shooting. Its design is inspired by the Winchester Model 1895, but with modern improvements to make it a reliable and accurate firearm.

The Long Ranger is chambered in .223 Remington, .243 Winchester, .308 Winchester, .300 Winchester Magnum, and 6.5 Creedmoor, giving shooters a variety of options for different hunting or shooting situations. The rifle also features a 20-inch barrel and a detachable box magazine that can hold up to four rounds.

The Henry Long Ranger has a smooth and precise action, thanks to its sturdy lever and modern CNC machining. It also has a free-floating barrel and a lightweight aluminum receiver, which helps reduce recoil and improve accuracy. The Long Ranger also has a fully adjustable rear sight and a fiber-optic front sight for quick and accurate aiming.

One of the most notable features of the Henry Long Ranger is its accuracy. With the right ammunition and shooter, this rifle is capable of shooting groups as tight as 1 MOA at 100 yards. This makes it a great option for hunters and competitive shooters who need a reliable and accurate firearm.

The Long Ranger also has a classic and elegant look, with a walnut stock and blued steel finish. The stock has a checkered grip and forend for added comfort and control. The rifle also has a rubber recoil pad to further reduce recoil and improve the shooting experience.

In summary, the Henry Long Ranger is a high-quality lever-action rifle that combines classic design with modern functionality. It is a reliable and accurate firearm that is suitable for a wide range of shooting activities, including hunting and competition shooting.

The Henry Long Ranger is a great rifle. I’ve focused on two hundred yard targets and it hasn’t disappointed once. The action is smooth and the trigger is the perfect balance. The workmanship is superb and worth every penny.

So far, this rifle is everything that I expected it to be. An earlier reviewer commented on difficulty chambering rounds. I found this to be more of an issue with the first round from a full magazine but a matter that simply requires a bit of a learning c

Henry Long Ranger Questions and Answers

Asked by geoz48 6 years ago

is the barrel marked 223/556 ?

Unknown 5 years ago

Hi Robert, I just verified this barrel is stamped (CAL. 223 REM / 5.56 NATO).

Asked by geoz48 6 years ago

Can it also shoot 5.56 ?

Unknown 5 years ago

Not recommended. 5.56 is a higher pressure round. A firearm marked 5.56 can safely fire both 5.56 and 223. A firearm marked 223 only should not. It can fire 5.56 but there would be warranty and safety issues associated with doing this.
