SERIES 80 FIRING SYSTEM The Colt 1991 Series is a direct descendant of the original Colt M1911. A long trigger, flat mainspring housing and original style recoil spring system remain from the original M1911 design. Upgrades from the original include white dot sights and a lowered ejection port for extra reliability. It still remains the standard that everyone tries to imitate, but no one duplicates. I got this gun about 3 months ago and immediately it was my favorite gun to shoot. I've put about 2000 rounds through it and it has preformed flawlesly with the small exception of the slide does't always lock back on one of the magazines when its empty.I

They are both colt Series 80 pistols, the Grips are the only difference. The stock levels play a huge part in prices at Buds. Very often a higher priced high stock item can be equal too or less than a lower priced low stock item and vice versa.
