We recommend Winchester’s basic 5.56x45 ammo to both types of shooters and everyone else in between! This American-made ammunition is exactly what you want for the range. It’s also a fine choice for home defense even if its 55 grain full metal jacket bullet doesn’t expand, because with a muzzle velocity of 3,240 fps it’s still going to deal damage however you define “damage.” Each round’s bullet consists of a solid lead core, a copper alloy jacket that is consistently thick all around for decent in-flight stability, and nothing else. There is no steel in this ammo’s bullet that could trip up a magnet – it’s ready for action at indoor ranges! Winchester’s solid brass cases are similarly nonmagnetic and ideal for handloading. Their noncorrosive Boxer primers demand no special cleaning, and their clean-burning propellant keeps an action and barrel relatively clear of residue until you get back home to scrub out your rifle. This ammo is bulk packaged 1,000 rounds to a case, with no other packaging apart from its plastic bag and outer shell of cardboard.
