If you count on the classic military cartridge for buck bagging and elk elimination, then Remington has something really special in store for you here. This round’s 150 grain bullet is a Scirocco Bonded by Swift. The secant ogive profile bullet’s sleek polymer tip stabs through the air as its boat tail base reduces the turbulence it leaves behind it, enabling it to retain more velocity and energy over several hundred yards. The bullet’s solid, pure copper jacket is securely fastened to its core to ensure it loses no more than 25 percent of its weight following high velocity impact. The Scirocco Bonded bullet’s tip mashes inward as it works its way toward its target’s vital zone, forcing rapid terminal expansion and producing the crippling wound channel that ends a hunt with one clean shot. Remington seats Swift’s accurate and deadly bullet in a first-run brass case, with the primer and propellant it needs to deliver a 2,910 fps muzzle velocity and subsequent 0.435 ballistic coefficient. That helps the Scirocco Bonded pack the energy recommended for ethical elk hunting up until nearly 400 yards!
