Rifles Descriptions

5.56x45 - 55 Grain SP - Black Hills - 50 Rounds

Your AR-15 is going to dig this 5.56x45 ammo – and so are you! It’s loaded by the same company that makes match 5.56 for all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces, and it’s just as suitable for taking varmints and coyote as it is defending your homestead against considerably more malevolent creatures. This round’s bullet weighs in at a standard 55 grains. Although you could use the soft point projectile for target shooting, it performs at its fullest potential during hunting and self-defense applications. The bullet’s jacket stops just short of the tip so it can reveal its supple lead core. When the SP encounters resistance from soft tissue, it widens outward while peeling back its jacket. That’s why this ammo delivers a wound channel which is substantially wider than 0.224” in diameter! Black Hills Ammunition of Rapid City, South Dakota is owned by a cop turned ammo specialist. Their brass-cased, reloadable, non-corrosive and clean-igniting ammo is currently used for R&D by over two dozen leading firearm manufacturers, and it is exclusively American-made.
