Rifles Descriptions

223 Rem - 55 Grain FMJ - Winchester USA - 20 Rounds

Are you trying to keep things straightforward the next time you let your AR-15 rip at the rifle range? Check this out: Winchester’s plain and simple American-made 223 Rem ammunition, which is perfect whether you want to group tight shots or spray your whole mag empty in a heartbeat! This cartridge has a 55 grain FMJ projectile, which alongside its 3,240 fps muzzle velocity makes it pretty much the same as our Army’s standard M193 loads. The bullet’s lead core and copper alloy jacket make it 100% nonmagnetic for compliance with pickier ranges’ ammo policies, and its cannelure will prevent the kind of setback that could have complicated feeding or harmed accuracy. We always bill simple FMJ ammo like this as suitable for target practice, but we’d trust it for home defense as well – that bullet’s going to fragment inside soft tissue if it hits its target at a high enough velocity. These rounds’ brass cases aren’t given a polish before they leave their factory. They’re only gray where they were heat treated for added durability, not because they were previously fired and reloaded. Winchester’s ammo isn’t just nonmagnetic – it’s also non-corrosive!
