Rifles Descriptions

350 Legend - 180 Grain SP - Federal Power-Shok - 200 Rounds

We don’t know you, but if your taste in online ammo retailers indicates anything then we are quite certain you must be a legend. That’s why it’s only fitting you’d choose to take care of business come deer season with a 350 Legend as well. This rifle cartridge’s 180 grain bullet plates up a muzzle velocity of 2,100 fps. While its flat nose profile may not be the most streamlined form ever conceived by man, its accuracy is still more than serviceable with its ballistic coefficient of 0.245. If you stretch your rifle’s range all the way out to 250 yards, you can still bank on a flat trajectory with less than 9” of bullet rise, a 1,400 fps muzzle velocity when you reach your target, and 783 ft lbs of energy on impact. The Power-Shok bullet is a soft point, with a jacket to resist deformation and promote deeper penetration as it prevents the bullet from tearing itself apart inside dense muscle tissue. The bullet’s soft lead meplat can only react to high to medium velocity penetration by commencing wide expansion, which will rip a debilitating wound channel into the critter your family’s next few dinners will come out of. Federal designs their Power-Shok ammo to fill a bag limit, not empty a hunter’s pockets. Still, they wouldn’t put their headstamp on a piece of brass that isn’t reloadable, nor would they spare the attention it takes to socket a responsive primer or load a consistent payload of clean burning propellant.
