Rifles Descriptions
223 Rem - 64 Grain Defense Tip - Winchester Silvertip - 20 Rounds
When you’re talking about a cartridge as powerful as the 223 Rem, pretty much any ammunition is capable of personal protection. But wouldn’t you really rather have something in your magazine that’s specifically built for self-defense when your life is on the line? Winchester’s Silvertip ammo is exactly what you want for home defense. This 223 load’s Defense Tip projectile has a massive polymer tip. So big a tip has a wide diameter base, which promotes rapid pace terminal expansion beginning at the instant of impact. Such fast expansion translates to the immense knockdown power you need to neutralize a threat. The Defense Tip has two other key performance enhancing features. Its alloyed lead core is unusually tough, which helps it to penetrate deeply and expand at the optimal rate within soft tissue. Its jacket’s nickel-plated exterior at once resists corrosion and supports more reliable functionality in semi-automatic firearms. This round’s bullet weighs 64 grains instead of 55. That extra mass also gives the bullet an advantage when it comes to deep penetration. You’ll get the best accuracy if your rifle has a 1:8 twist barrel, but a 1:7 or 1:9 twist will also deliver sufficient accuracy for self-defense applications. Brass-cased, Boxer-primed, non-corrosive, nonmagnetic and American-made!
