Browning Silver Hunter
The Browning(R) Silver Hunter(TM) Matte is a lightweight, fast handling semi-auto shotgun that's designed with upland bird hunting in mind; though its self-adjusting Active Valve gas system increases its versatility to include most any type of wing shooting or shooting sport. The Active Valve gas system vents excess gas out the top of the forearm, and away from the receiver for clean, reliable operation with 2-3/4" and 3" shells, without the need or adjustment. The Silver Hunter Matte model comes with a matte blued barrel, a 2-tone silver/black receiver, and a checkered Turkish walnut stock with a brown, ventilated recoil pad. The semi-humpback receiver design with a ventilated rib and brass front bead creates a sight picture that's quick to pick up and swing on moving targets. The barrel comes back bored and threaded for Browning's Invector-Plus choke tubes (includes IC, M, & F) to deliver consistently tight shot patterns. Like all Model 870 shotguns, this workhorse features a receiver milled from a solid billet of steel for maximum strength and reliability. The silky-smooth twin action bars prevent binding and twisting so you'll always have the chance to get off a second shot. Appropriately dressed for the hunt and not for the wall, each shotgun sports non-reflective black matte metalwork and a no-frills, satin-finish hardwood stock and forend. The 28"barrel is fitted with a modified Rem Choke and single bead sight.
