Shotguns Descriptions
12 Gauge - 2-3/4" 1oz. #9 Shot - Fiocchi - 25 Rounds
Fiocchi makes this 12 Gauge ammunition for the target range – specifically the part of it where you shoot skeet, because they have loaded it with #9 shot. Such miniscule pellets remain clustered together in a dense cloud over relatively long distances, making them perfect for the job of shattering clays. This shell’s shot is made of chilled lead. It’s actually slightly softer than magnum lead, which contains about two to three times more hardening antimony. For that reason we believe this ammunition would also serve splendidly for hunting the smallest upland game, as its shot pellets will deform throughout penetration to transfer more deadly energy than harder shot could manage. This shell’s column of shot weighs 1/8 ounces less than the heaviest target loads, and its 1,170 fps muzzle velocity, though supersonic, is still on the low end of the speedometer. These two traits alongside Fiocchi’s cushioned plastic wad ought to reduce felt recoil, which is marvelous if you want more comfortable shooting or an advantage while rapidly emptying both barrels of a side by side or over/under. Clean burning, non-corrosive, and reloadable – all the hallmarks of a good cartridge, and made in America no less!
